Finding Amy began as Amy's Place back in the summer of 2001. A short while later,
I started to learn HTML, so I wanted to make a better, more organized website. I changed the
name to Finding Amy (just a little more catchy I guess) and made a layout featuring my
favorite dog breed, the Weimeraner. It was nice, but I started playing around with PSP7 brushes
and graphics, and then figured I could make some really nice layouts. So I did.
I started looking for a host around April 2002, and I e-mailed a couple of people, but got
no reponse. And finally the wonderful Hallie of majinneko.org
saw my site and offered to host me. I thankfully accepted (all of you who have sites on
freeservers know how annoying they are) and moved into her domain on May 4, 2002.
In November, 2002, Hallie's domain screwed up and left her, me and her other hostees without sites.
In early December, I decided to look around for a GOOD free host and found
Portland Communications. I was there for about 3 days
when the server on that site ALSO screwed up. Damn I have bad luck.
Now, onto January 2003...I finally found a spot @ xphantasy.com
after Peter offered to host me. Been a long ride, but hopefully I can stay here for awhile...
